Testosterone Replacement Therapy

Get your energy, drive, and focus back.

Low testosterone is real, common, and treatable. Hara Clinic diagnoses low T with proper labs and treats it with physician-led testosterone replacement therapy, monitored every step of the way.

The basics

What testosterone replacement therapy actually is.

Testosterone is the primary male hormone. It influences your energy, sex drive, mood, muscle, bone strength, and the way you think and feel day to day. When levels drop too low and you have symptoms to match, the condition is called hypogonadism, or low testosterone (low T).

Testosterone replacement therapy, or TRT, restores testosterone to a healthy range using medical-grade testosterone. It is not a quick fix or a supplement. It is a clinical treatment for a diagnosed hormone deficiency, prescribed and supervised by a physician.

Low T is not just an "older man" problem, and it is not something to feel embarrassed about. It is a measurable medical condition. The first step is simple: find out where your levels actually stand.

Signs to notice

Signs of low testosterone.

These are common symptoms men describe. Symptoms alone are not a diagnosis, but together with low blood levels they point to low T.

  • Persistent fatigue and low energy that sleep does not fix
  • Lower sex drive (libido) or weaker erections
  • Brain fog, trouble concentrating, poor memory
  • Low mood, irritability, or loss of motivation
  • Loss of muscle mass and strength despite training
  • Stubborn belly fat and slower recovery
  • Poor sleep
  • Feeling generally "flat" or not yourself
The Hara approach

How Hara treats low testosterone.

Step 1

Consultation and lab work

You meet a physician and we run proper blood tests, including a morning testosterone reading (confirmed on a repeat test, as guidelines recommend). We do not treat on guesswork.

Step 2

Physician-designed plan

If your levels and symptoms confirm low T, your doctor designs a treatment plan around your goals, your health history, and your numbers. No two plans are identical.

Step 3

Monitoring and adjustment

TRT is a long-term, supervised therapy. We recheck your testosterone and key safety markers (such as blood count and PSA where appropriate), then fine-tune your dose over time.

Hara TRT programs

Commit at the pace that fits you.

Hara offers TRT in three program lengths so you can start where you are comfortable, with physician management throughout.

3 months

A structured starting block to begin treatment, establish your baseline response, and complete your first monitoring checkpoint.

7 months

A mid-length program that carries you through the window where most of the major benefits build and stabilize, with continued monitoring and dose tuning.

12 months

A full year of physician-managed therapy and monitoring, designed for the most complete and steady results over time.

What to expect

What to realistically expect.

Results build over time, not overnight. In men with diagnosed low T, studies and clinical guidelines report the following. Individual results vary.

Improved libido and sexual function

Sex drive often improves first, typically within about 3 to 6 weeks, with sexual function continuing to develop after that.

More energy and better mood

Many men report improved energy, mood, and sense of well-being in the early weeks to months of treatment.

Sharper focus

Restoring testosterone can help with the brain fog and concentration issues tied to low T.

More muscle, less fat

Lean muscle mass and body composition improvements generally appear over roughly 3 to 6 months and continue building toward the 6 to 12 month mark.

Stronger bones over time

TRT can improve bone mineral density with continued treatment.

Steadier day to day

The goal is to relieve symptoms and help you feel like yourself again, not to chase a number.

Honest and important

Safety, candidacy, and what to know.

TRT is well established and effective for men who genuinely have low testosterone, but it is a medical therapy with real considerations. It is not for everyone, and it should always be supervised by a physician with regular monitoring. This is part of why Hara treats only after proper diagnosis, never on symptoms alone.

  • Fertility. Testosterone therapy can suppress sperm production and reduce fertility. Guidelines advise against starting TRT if you are planning to have children in the near term. Tell your doctor if fertility matters to you, as other options exist.
  • Blood thickening. TRT can raise your red blood cell count (hematocrit), which can thicken the blood. This is why we check your blood count before and during treatment and adjust if needed.
  • Prostate health. Men over 40 should have a PSA test before starting. Current evidence does not show that TRT causes prostate cancer, but prostate monitoring is part of responsible care.
  • Not a "more is better" therapy. The goal is a healthy, normal range. Dosing is tailored and monitored, not pushed higher for faster gains.
  • Other factors. Conditions such as untreated severe sleep apnea, certain heart conditions, and a few others may affect whether TRT is right for you. Your physician will review your full history.
Questions

TRT, answered.

What is TRT?

TRT (testosterone replacement therapy) is a medical treatment that restores testosterone to a healthy range in men who have a diagnosed deficiency. It is prescribed and monitored by a physician.

How do I know if I have low testosterone?

Low T is confirmed with a blood test, ideally taken in the morning and repeated to be sure, alongside symptoms like fatigue, low libido, and brain fog. Symptoms alone are not enough for a diagnosis.

How long until TRT works?

Libido and mood often start improving within the first several weeks. Changes in energy, body composition, and strength build over about 3 to 6 months, with maximum benefits typically around 6 to 12 months.

Is TRT safe?

For men with genuine low testosterone, TRT is well established when properly monitored. Like any medical therapy it has considerations, such as effects on fertility, blood count, and the need for prostate monitoring, which your doctor will manage.

Does TRT cause prostate cancer?

Current medical evidence does not show that TRT causes prostate cancer. As a precaution, men over 40 get a PSA test before starting, and prostate health is monitored during treatment.

Will TRT affect my fertility?

Yes, testosterone therapy can lower sperm production and reduce fertility. If you are planning to have children soon, tell your doctor, as TRT may not be the right first step and other options exist.

Do I have to stay on TRT for life?

TRT is generally a long-term therapy because it treats an ongoing deficiency. Hara offers 3-month, 7-month, and 12-month programs so you can start at a pace that suits you, with your physician guiding the long-term plan.

Is TRT available in the Philippines?

Yes. Hara Clinic provides physician-led testosterone replacement therapy in the Philippines, with proper lab-based diagnosis and ongoing monitoring.
